[.net] text display

Recommended Posts

I am using c++ to display a binary file as both hex and raw characters. The files I am working with have characters in the > 127 range. When displayed in a Textbox any character > 127 is not displayed correctly. For example 234 = Ω, however the TextBox does not display this. I realize that the ASCIIEncoding only uses a 7-bit character. What encoding uses an 8-bit char? The font supports these characters, I can type them by holding ALT and typing 2-3-4. Any help is appreciated! Harry
