okay so i got Beginning Game Programming, the book, and i'm trying to compile one of the early programs, except a couple of my functions aren't being declared ANYWHERE. the windows.h include does not have them (setpixel() and getstockobject()). i of course googled them and found that i may need to link gdi32.lib into my program, but i cant find it anywhere! can anyone tell me where to find it? if you don't have a link, could you search on your system for it and email it to me? let me know here and ill give you my email address. thankx in advance to anyone who has an answer! i know its out there!

You need to have the Windows Platform SDK, it is available for free from Microsoft's developer site. My directory path to it seems to be
..\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\PlatformSDK\Lib.
