Override windows keystrokes

I'm creating a program that is to be an add-on for another of my programs. Only thing is I want the add-in to override the keystrokes of the main program. How would I be able to do that? edit: i'm using VB 6

Check your Win32 reference for SetWindowsHook(Ex), that might be what your looking for.
