[SDL] DirectInput error when standalone?

I get the error DirectInputDevice::SetCooperativeLevel: Unknown DirectInput Error: 0x80070006 everytime I run my SDL application without using MVSC++ (When I double-click the .exe) It works fine when I execute it in Visual Studio... If I can't fix this, all that work will be for naught. SDL: SDL 1.2.8 IDE: Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 6 DLLs are all setup correctly

I think you will have to post some code for us to help you.

According to what I've read, either you or SDL is passing an invalid handle to DirectInput...
