GLSL Texture

I have a query. Its related to my prevoius post.. If I enable automatic texture coord generation and try to use shaders, none of the textures are getting applied on the object. In the vertex shader I do something like gl_TexCoord[0] = gl_MultiTexCoord0; In the fragment shader I use sampler2D texture2D(sampler1, vec2(gl_TexCoord[0])) ; The problem is that, I get a color being applied on the object, not the actual texture.

i assume texgen is ignored if glsl is enabled
u can do any of the texgen methods (and much more) yourself in the vertexshader

gl_TexCoord[0] = .......
