State Manager and DXUT

Hi, I want to use a state manager, which manages the different game states like game menu, ingame, player inventory, etc. via a stack. The thing is, I use DXUT and the way I see things, every state must have it's own set of callback functions like OnLostDevice, OnFrameMove or OnFrameRender. But With DXUT, these methods are defined global for the entire application and not state dependant. Now, do I have to make severe changes to the DXUT.cpp or is there a simpler way? How do you guys manage this?
