Problems with Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition...

So I got sick of using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 and decided to download Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition. So how do I create a simple Win32 application? (Not a console application.) When creating a new project I have an option for an empty CLR project, a Win32 console app, etc., etc. Every time I try to compile the simplest of programs I get an error that it can't find <windows.h>. So what am I missing here? What project do I need to select to create a simple Windows app? Or do I need to download something else?

Installing Visual C++ Express is a 4 step process. You didn't do step 4 [smile]

Do all these steps

Exactly what I needed. Thank you kind sir.
I had the same problem

They really need to just include that. In the download and have it as an optional install.
Yeah, and even then the Platform SDK isnt the easiest of things to locate the right version, download and install...
