That would I also think if I'd made this game by myself ;)
But from a "third person perspective" I think, this is a very vague statement.
I haven't played it for long, but here are my comments.
PRO:
- cool graphics and models (for a indie)
- cool sounds
- complexity of character
CONS:
- graphical inconsistency (cool graphical stuff + run-of-the-mill GUI elements)
- walk speed and game speed
- animation bugs (in animation the player stands, but in real he's moving forward)
- collision bugs - I could walk through Objects
- leak of atmosphere in maps
- UI in the game

Despite the CONS, for a 3 man team its a really good work - respect! Keep it up!

If you'd take the time to elaborate on some of these cons it would be helpful.
We'd like to better understand your perspective. :)

- please elaborate on graphical inconsistency/run of the mill GUI elements?
(do you have examples of titles using similar gui?)

- walk speed and game speed?

- animations bug.. is not a bug, - when player picks up an item and
appears to slide forward this is implemented to prevent constant
stopping and starting your character to leave more control in your hands

- collision bugs.. incorrect. We have purposely not put collision on every object

- leak of atmosphere in maps. You may be referring to a documented ati bug?

- UI in the game is very standard as per WOW, COH, COV etc.. please elaborate.

Thanks for taking the time to offer your feedback. :)

I meant:
- firstly - it is a fantasy-game and not an business application, so the "Toon"-list looks very strange there, and the perfect-rectangle-business-like-query-box after pressing ESC doesnt also look good in that context.
- secondly - sometimes you use a text as a button and sometimes looks a button like a button ^^ you know what I mean ;) ?
This destroys the whole fantasy game feeling - IMHO.

- walk speed and game speed?

I would get asleep, if i should go through a larger map - "r" ist not really solving the problem. The whole time I was wondering if I had the "handbrake" button locked ;)

I mean the situation, when I press shift - I see an animation with the character playing with his knifes - standing (in the animation), but I was moving forward.

looks strange, but its your decision ;)

I meaned not the physical atmosphere, but the flair, ambience - you know?
Generally, the maps didn't convince me.

In my standard resolution of 1400/1050 I can hardly see the health/mana and so on amounts. In a real hot battle, I had to concentrate on the small text, instead of the battle.

Did you have some beta-testers, that putted it to the acid? Doesn't seem so - if yes - look for other betatesters ;)

Nevertheless, it has definitely potential. Keep up working!

Very good feedback!

You have found two of our documented bugs which we are working on.

1) start and stop bug with speed issue - just toggle in and out of combat
and it will reset.

2) keeping moving bug - just tap whatever key you used to move in that
direction and it will reset.

About the text buttons and button buttons you have a very good point.
There is a lack of consistency. We will attend to that in a patch.

About the toons window. Yes, we will attend to that in a patch too.

Any other issues such as low detail maps or lack of convincing environment
are due to lack of manpower. It was a lot of art (characters, gui, terrain,
etc.)for just myself to create. More manpower should solve that problem. :)

Collision issues as in lack of on some objects - there is one object I will add
collision too next version, maybe it is one of which you speak.

The stats text being too small at your resolution is not one we have encountered.
I play on my mac at 1680 by 1050, and its perfect.
Our beta testers play at various resolutions with no complaints.
We will address that issue by making the gui relative in a patch.

Thanks again for such detailed feedback.
Hopefully the next update will be more to your satisfaction.

I reccommend trying out Kria and Teella. They are a blast to play! :)

Just a quick note to anyone who has or is checking out KWL:

- we've posted the following known issues and quick tips on our download page..

========================================================

Known Issues

* Demo went out with sound bug thats been resolved in commercial version.
* Moving forward bug, when not wanting to
* Player gui too small in higher resolutions
* Removing ugly toon list box
* Removing speed cap on walk / run mode when in kombat
* Krei getting stuck

A few helpful tips

Here are a few quick helpers:
* auto combat is a good way to learn (but turn it off if you want to run away)
* Kria is the easiest to play as she is a warrior style character
* the blue portal is the easy difficulty
* don't bother with the tutorial yet as we are working on it still

@ am2pm: An issue you may have run into was the speed cap when in combat.
If you try to run through the game in combat mode it will seem like you have the brakes on.
We are removing that cap. :)

Thanks,
