tutorials on 2D games in Direct3D?

I've heard that Direct3D may be better for making 2d games than DirectDraw. Are there any tutorials that you would recommend on this topic (could it cover this for the language C++? I ran into some that were in C#)? Thanks!

I don't think you need a 2D game tutorial for DirectX. Just learn how to use the sprite object provided by Direct3DX then read some 2D game design tutorial. Any complete 2D game tutorial would do.

Yes.

DirectDraw has been deprecated for over four years now. You might want to check out the book "Focus on 2D in Direct3D" to learn more about joining today-world :)
