Hi all, I''ve started the Lamothe book Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus.. The first breakout example doesn''t seem to want to compile. I get the error that "HDC hdc" is an unreferenced local variable and so was PAINTSTRUCT ps. What''s going on and how can I fix this? Thanks

an unreferenced local variable is where a variable has been declared but not used. it should(although not necessarily) be a warning not an error and if so you can ignore and compile/build/run iy without a problem. If you wanna get rid of the warning either delete the lines with the paintstruct and HDC on or put =0 or =NULL after each one. Hope ive helped

Just my thoughts take them as you will.
