Blend option to create negative image

D3DRS_SRCBLEND = D3DBLEND_INVSRCCOLOR
D3DRS_DESTBLEND = D3DBLEND_ZERO

Should write an inverted copy of what you're rendering - completely replacing whatever else is currently in the frame buffer.

Check out the D3DBLEND entry in the SDK (just type it into the index to find it) for more possibilities.
