Scrolling game, enemies move oddly when character runs.

Okay so If my main character is standing still my enemies move perfectly fine. Right now I've got an enemy that just moves from the right to the left of the screen. However if my character runs right they move slower and eventually in reverse once my character is at max speed. If I move left they speed up. Any ideas why this would happen?

Wow sorry, it was just one of those stupid bugs. I accedntally sent my AI class the characters y1 twice instead of his y1 and x1, lol.

Sounds like your enemies direction and speed is tied in someone with the player's direction and speed. without code however, it's impossible to know.
