Strange Texture 'Lines'

Okay, well I've started on my very first heightmap (yey me!), and I've hit a snag. As you can see from the first one, I've got some lines in my texture... but those lines are nowhere in the actual image, it has nothign to do with the polygon edge, I'm using GL_CLAME_TO_EDGE, my texture coordinates are only 1 or 0, no decimals invovled. Any idea what could be causing this?

Probably the width or height or border you are passing to glTexImage2D are incorrect. Also check that you are loading the texture properly from file.
