Hi, This problem has been tormenting me for months, could somebody please help me get going? I finished my first complex program, it is in vb6. When it was in a simpler form I packaged it and ran it under win98 (it's made under winXP), now with databases and some new components it simply doesn't work anymore in win98. Is this to be expected? What should be done? If I would package it under win98 would that guarantee it worked in more recent operating systems? Thanks.

I think this is the best way, althought WinXP is backward-compatible. I suggest u use Inno-Setup (here is the thing u need to take note for distributing VB6 program), it's good for deployment, instead of using the deployment tools shipped with VB6.
