class design question

I'm not sure if this should be in this forum, or maybe in Isometric or Game programming, but here goes. I am currently developing a top-down 2D tile-based RPG using SDL and C++. Currently it is going to be a text-based battle system, but I am having trouble figuring out how to make this happen. I have a player class, monster class, and a tile class. What I thought might work would be a battle class with methods for each possible player and monster action as well as keeping track of whos turn it is, ect. Does anyone have any ideas of how this might work, or suggestions on other ways to implement this? Thanks, Han
