TrayGames launches Developer Challenge 2006 TrayGames announces the first annual TrayGames Developer Challenge, a competition for "pick up and play" casual games using their multi-player platform. Launched in conjunction with its new developer support site, the Challenge offers a $10,000 Grand Prize. "This is a great opportunity for developers to explore the possibilities offered by multi-player game play at the scale of a casual game," says Joe Pantuso, CEO of TrayGames. "We expect to see creative entries that push the edges of current game genres. This challenge gives us the opportunity to promote the capabilities of the TrayGames platform and attract new developers to the idea of producing games for the Network." The $10,000 Grand Prize consists of a publishing contract for the winning game with an advance. In addition to the Grand Prize winner, all finalists will be awarded publishing contracts with revenue share and advances attached to them. All Challenge submissions that are accepted for publication will be available to play on the TrayGames Manager. Deadline for Challenge entries is September 5, 2006. About TrayGames TrayGames delivers the only 100% multi-player casual game network. The TrayGames Manager is a desktop client that allows for easy game selection integrated with an Instant Message client. TrayGames direct-to-desktop publishing gives players instant access to their games, their contacts, and group play. The TGSDK supplied by TrayGames gives third party game developers the ability to integrate their games with TrayGames Network platform features including download management, subscription management, e-commerce, use tracking, tournaments and score laddering.
