n00b question about images and other multimedia elements

hi im kinda new here not exactly new to programming but im new to game programming ive done some 3d rendering and made some cool images i was wondering whats involved in getting those images into a game or a simple gui app ive read a few opengl tutes but all that was mentioned was drawing things using complex math algorithiums etc basically what id like to know is how to include images into applications or links to where i could find this out thanks

I think a bit more info is needed, what language would you like to program in for one, what platform, and another is what kind of application or where do you want these images?

If you simply wanted a app that can display an image, you could just use the free Microsoft Visual C# 2005 Express Edition IDE ( [google] for it ) and make a project and drag a picture box onto the form, then in the properties menu browse for an image to insert, and it's displayed on the form...

Then again though, I have no idea what you're really looking for. There are many ways to get pictures or images into applications, and most all suit different needs.
