NOTICE: As you can see in the succeeding posts (no offense to Fenryl and Shankar, of course, they were just trying to help ), please do not list link suggestions for "cut & paste" tutorials, since this thread is focused more on design than the "do this, then do that" kind of instructions.

Very nice! I really like the Illustrator to Maya one of Level Design. [Btw, spelling error there; you missed the last "l" on level. ;)]

I'm sure a mod will agree that this thread deserves a sticky, especially if more articles can be dug up.

Ooh extremely helpful. This should be added to the sticky tutorial thread.
LINK::
http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?whichpage=1&pagesize=25&topic_id=257345
This sticky has 100+ sites for tutorials, downloads etc.

Here's one I use often:
www.3dquakers.com <- extremely helpful (I used one of their free videos, really nice.) A lot of paid stuff too, but expensive.

One more:

Lots of CG stuff. Photoshop, Flash, Max, Blender, Bryce. You name it!

hey guys... i really appreciate all the links and stuff you've given me but i was trying to focus this section on design, rather than "cut-and-paste" tutorials. i might post the gnomon workshop link up there and maybe some of the other ones, but i'm afraid i'm gonna leave out most of the tutorial links.

You're looking at a wanna-be right now :P
I agree on that last point. Its easy enough to find tutorials and whatnot on those generic sites... the design articles are alot harder to find and gather.

Yea sorry. I didn't realize your goal with this thread was design only ;). EDIT: And I'm glad this got a sticky. It'll really help designers and cg artists alike.
