Which development enviroment is better for programming games on mobile devices? PDA, and phones Java? .NET? Linux and gcc?

Personally I consider C# to be the best language there is, so I'd go with that if there no residing issues like poor compatiblity, smaller potential market.
But if you're just doing it for fun, C# all the way. it's a wonderful language.

Edit-Just noticed your games remark. I can't recall the name of it (Havn't used it in years) but there is a basic(The language, not in specs) game language, ide combo for mobile phone developed. IT comes with an ide and built in mobile emulator and it's pretty nice. I'm sure someone here knows what I'm talking about? Mobilebasic or something like that.

And, every game made in C# (.NET) is just ready to run on PDA with PocketPC OS?
.NET framework is enough?
