Hey everyone, For a project at school we are working with DotNetNuke. Part of our required project is to have an online chat built into a website. We have done a little digging around to find a free chat server that supports voice communication. We did manage to find a few DotNetNuke modules that use chat, but none of them support voice communication. Our instructor suggested that we look into an IRC based solution, but we haven't had any luck in finding a free IRC server/client package that supports voice. Do any of you guys/gals know of any decent free chat server/client packages that support voice?

Try using a Java based chat room.

Well, it looks like chatessentials costs some decent coin, which isn't an option at this point in time. Are there any IRC client/server based solutions that are relatively simple to use and still free?

Most of the java based ones seem to have a cap on the number of users (for the free solutions). Either that or they cost an arm and a leg.
Try CGI:IRC. It's not as fancy as Java-based chat's, but on the plus side it's all basic HTML. This means that users on a (corporate) firewall that blocks the IRC port can still use it.
