hello, ok, i have a SDL_mixer working just fine - WAV's play, MP3 music plays, but OGG files cause a hang that takes most of windows with it! I have all the dll's supplied with SDL_mixer-1.2.7 with the exe. It seems to die in the dll's. I believe the ogg's themselves are ok - they play using FMOD library. any ideas!? /Me baffled! tony [Edited by - tonydubya on June 27, 2006 12:35:34 PM]

SDL 1.2.10 with its SDL_mixer release brought up some problems with OGG files. SDL 1.2.11 was recently released so you might want to check it out. If the OGG problem in SDL_mixer is fixed, I have no clue.

Just tried, and sadly it doesn't fix the issue. But thanks for the idea :)

Sam recently recompiled the OGG DLL's that ship with SDL_Mixer which fixes this problem (I had the same thing happen). It was due to the runtime it was originally compiled to. It's been fixed.

They're available in the SDL_Mixer SVN branch, but they haven't been "officially" rolled out yet on the site (no idea of the ETA on that). But you can still grab it from SVN..

hth,
