How do I determine my mesh render order so I don't get meshes being drawn one on top of another even though they are behind? Or is there just some flag that does this for me? Tx Mike

Well PhonicUK the thing is if you don't want this from happening you have to look at Occlusion and view frustrum. The most basic technique is just to trow a invisible ray from your view point to each face and see which are visible or not, then you render the faces you can see. there is a lot of material about it.
Now doing this for every face is very time comsuming so what people do is divide the scene into leafs or small blocks usually of 16 joint faces and then do this routine. If one part of the leaf is visible then the whole leaf is visible.
the google word is "Occlusion" and "view frustrum".
It's quite complicated if you are a rookie but with some math you'll get the hang of it.
