problem with drawing a quad with a texture

hello all i got a strange problem.. i'm drawing a quad and i got texture on him but... the texture isnt good as i wanted( it suppose to be like a quad and instead the texture is ------ \_____ here is my code:
glBegin(GL_QUADS);

glTexCoord2f(0.0,1.0); glVertex2f(-0.4f,0.1f);
glTexCoord2f(1.0,1.0);glVertex2f(-0.2f,0.1f);
glTexCoord2f(1.0,0.0);glVertex2f(-0.2f,0);
glTexCoord2f(0.0,0.0);glVertex2f(-0.4f,0);
glEnd();


any idea whats wrong with it? thanks in advance

Strange... now i saw that i can draw the same quad with other texture and its ok but with this texture its not good what can cause this???

So you have concluded that the code you posted works for some textures, but not others. Likely the texture itself is broken then, and not how you draw it. Show more code and provide more information about the broken texture.
