100 ms tcp roundtrip time ok?
Hi guys,
I am playing with net game, and I have a roundtrip time between client and server around 100 ms - tcp server makes tcp connection, starts clock, sends request, wait reply from client and stops clock. It is all measured on local network with 1 switch between server and client. I think it is little too much time for just tcp roundtrip, but I would like to know what do you think - is it ok or not?
Thanks,
skoco
Something is definitely wrong unless this is a slow turn based game. Are you sure you aren't forgetting no wait?
