[4e5] sound card information?

Oh man, sorry for bumping a month old topic, but that was hilarious.

AdLib? The defunct sound card company? Hah, that was a good one. I think I even used one back in the day :-o.

Honestly, does it matter? Unless the game is based entirely on sound and sound effects (sorta like DDR?), it shouldn't really impact your game.

Unless you choose to spend time & money implementing EAX, HD etc. support.

Once again, I apologize for the bump, but it was too funny.

it could matter if someone decides to make a dos realmode game (since it requires you to write your code directly for the soundcard in question)
