Hi, Well, I'm undertaking a project where I need to use MFC (don't ask why...). Since I don't have much experience with MFC, I was hoping to find an IDE that facilitated 'drag and drop' GUI (RAD) with MFC and unmanaged C++. I gave 'Visual Studio Express' a try, but it doesn't support MFC. Is 'drag and drop' GUI with MFC supported under Visual Studio Professional 2003 or 2005. I do know that they both incorporate .NET, and 2005 is big into CLR. I don't want to buy either product if they don't do what I'm looking for. Any guidance/tips would me much appreciated... Cheers, GCS584.

Both 2003 and 2005 support it but Visual Studio Express 20005 versions do not.
You need at least Visual Studio 2005 Standard edition to work with MFC.

Thanks for your help. Do ALL versions from Standard and above support 'drag and drop' GUI for MFC?

Yes but not as nicely as the .NET stuff. I would use Visual Studio 2003 or 2005 since they are more ANSI C Compliant. Plus Visual Studio 6 is deprecated.
