[java] Java WebService Credentials

Recommended Posts

I've been programming webservices in .net for a while, and .net is nice enough to automatically create a NetCredentials object that manages username and password. Problem is that any WSDL->.java client code generating utility I've used doesn't seem to create any equivalent NetCredentials object. How, using Java, can I pass username and password? I'm really not even sure what I should be looking for, so ANY information would probably be helpful. Thanks

I'm not a webservices expert by any means, but I worked on a project that was a client application that communicated with a webservice. I used Eclipses Web Tools Platform to generate the client code. It did create the proper classes needed for authentication with the server. I'm not sure how this compares to a netCredentials object as I'm not familiar with .NET.
