I want it to be able to type in text in the console and convert that text into a webpage and put it on a free website server like geocities or yahoo webpage builder.

I would definitely not use C++ for this. I'd use either python or ruby.

#!/usr/bin/env ruby

require 'rubygems'
require_gem 'religion'

class << earth
def end_wars
god = Religion::God.new
@wars.each do |w|
god.end_war w
end
end
end

earth.end_wars

You can probably do silly trivial useless things like HTML parsing, URL retrieval, etc. too. (Most free sites don't give ftp access, right? :/)

You forgot to feed the world, too. [wink]

If they allow FTP (Geocities Plus, ISP-given webpages), that's the easiest way.

If you want to upload through their "easy upload" utility, you'll have to be, shall we say, "inventive", and I wish you luck in the endeavor, for you will require it by the oil-tanker load.
