Stencil buffer question
I have one question about the stencil buffer,Soppuse that I want to create 3d model of a fighter cockpit.The cockpit of course is transparent(or there wont be any polygon there) in the area that the pilot sees.So why do I have to use the STENCIL buffer since as the OpenGL will draw the cockpit and anything else that is out of it in the transparent area?Is a matter of speed?
I don't know what exactly You want to do with the stencil buffer, but for Your situation using it is not necessary.
