Hi! I read somewhere that not all gl function calls (especially of gl extension functions) are stored in display lists. Now I tried to use multitexturing functions like glActiveTextureARB in display lists and it seems to work. But can I be sure that the code will run on any display adapter? Thanks in advance! rgds

Dependent on the version of OpenGL being used on the other computer.
You really ought to have checks to see what gl* calls are supported by display adapters and don't assume that they will be supported.

Setting minimum requirements can help you with this.

Writing alternate rendering paths is the only way you are going to be able to fully support alternate GL versions.

Some things aren't allowed in display lists due to the nature of the calls.
If you have the latest OpenGL Red Book turn to page 288 to see what cannot go into a DL.
