SDL can run in the console mode?

Is possoible to run a game or the like in a pure console mode? So it'll be running in framebuffer right? If not, what API exist to this purpose?

Do you mean full-screen mode? If so, then yes, SDL can take control of the whole screen, assuming your operating system allows it. (Most do.) Usually console mode means text-based however, typically 80x25 characters, but I don't think that's what you meant.

yep, that is. without windows, without X11... whitout nothing :) Console mode. Like start linux with the init un runlevel 3...

That's a pretty unusual terminology there.

Anyhow, you're looking for the SDL_FULLSCREEN flag for SDl_SetVideoMode() (or something like that). Just look up "fullscreen" in the documents.
