Hi, I am ready with my Java game and have been browsing the net for ways to sell my game. While reading an article on www.dexterity.com, I came across the term Shareware registration services. I need more information about the services: - What it is? - How will it be beneficial for me? - Which shareware registration handler services are good? Anything on this. Thanks Niteen Hatle

Hi,
a shareware registration service handles payments, registration, distribution and sometimes marketing of shareware. If you use one, you don't need to worry about processing payments or generating registration keys. They will take care of everything. They charge a fee, usually a percentage of the price of your product.

I'd recommend these reg-service providers:
BMT Micro
http://www.bmtmicro.com/
Plimus
http://www.plimus.com/

Both charge 10% of sale's price and offer good reliable service.

Hi,

Thanks lakibuk and Koen, I checked those out and also went to blackcatsystems. I got a better idea what these services provide.

But as you may have noticed I live in Mumbai, India, I wonder if these would be any help for me.

I talked to my bank manager and he told me they do provide merchant banking services. He also counted the benefits for me.

But I am confused. Need some time to think.

Thanks again all of you.

Niteen Hatle.
