[java] JOGL tutorials?

What do you mean by overlays? Do you mean overlaying some sort of 2D rendering over the top of your 3D scene, or do you mean the OpenGL notion of overlay planes (which JOGL doesn't support and which are basically obsolete)? If the former, what you approximately want to do is draw your 3D scene, change the projection matrix to orthographic and reset the modelview matrix to the identity matrix, disable the depth test and draw your 2D elements.
