How do I display a semi transparent bmp on top of the 3d layer?

hi, I would like to draw a semi transparent bitmap on top of a 3d layer that I drew. How do I do that ? Thanks, Udi Raz

In order to make a bitmap semi-transparent, the feature you should be looking for in your documentation is alpha-blending. Also, if you need more help, describe your development environment a little more: Are you using Allegro, SDL, DirectX, OpenGL, or some combination of them?

Thanks for your help, here is the details...

i am using C++ DirectX9.

I draw some lines using DrawPrimitive() and would like to alpha blend a bitmap on top of these object.
