.X files with animations from Caligari's True/Gamespace?

Anyone here have experience in using Caligaris' products to .X files? I'd like to use animated .X objects created in Truespace in a directx - has anyone done this with any success? I believe the 'tiny.x' in the sdk was created in Maya. Googling, as resulted in less than fantastic results. I like the caligari way of modeling, for my purposes its fast and does a good job. I just wish I could end up with an .x file with name keyframes the way the 'big' modeler programms do.
