Limit on sampler2d-uniforms I can use?

Hello, Is there a limit on how many sampler2d uniforms I can access in a fragment shader - like there were restrictions when doing multitexturing? Are there any restrictions I should take care off when doing mutitexturing using glsl? Thanks a lot, lg Clemens

Yes - as far as I know all hardware I plan to support can do 16 textures per pass.
I just was not sure wether this translates directly to the textures I can access per shader.
