Hi, I am looking for a good C# book on the same level as C++ Primer Plus. I have looked around a bit, but not finding many reviews for the books. thanks Troy

If you already know c++ and/or java and you care about money you can probably just use the web. For me it worked.

I enjoyed the reference manual a lot when I learned the language.

The only problem may be that this book uses C# 1.0. It would be better of too get a book about C# v2.0.
Wrox books are recommended.

I consider myself fairly fluent in C#, and I have only used internet resources.
For instance: http://www.softsteel.co.uk/tutorials/cSharp/cIndex.html is a good place to start.

When you know C# fairly well and wants to know about common practice and more detailed information about C#/.NET, you could start at http://msdn.microsoft.com/vcsharp/programming/language/ for instance.

Actually, you probably only need this...

the books that i'm going through, i've realized it's good to have one book handy just on the language (example: Learning C# 2005 by Jesse Liberty), and one on the FCL (Windows Forms in Action 2nd Edition by Erik Brown, Windows Forms 2.0 Programming by Chris Sells etc.). then after that having some specialized books is handy too).
