how could i use glBlend() when i draw a button?

i do not know how to use the combination of glBlend's parameters. i want to draw a button onto screen, how can i make the button-picture's backround transparency?

use GL_SRC_ALPHA and GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA. Then make sure when you specify your color that you specify the version which takes the alpha value. for example glColor4f

u means that i must use the glColor4f() set the alpha value?
let me try it.


Is there any tutorials about Blend? i have read the NeHe's tutorial,but i still feel some diffclut ,because there are so many combination of the parameters.
