I burned the file Knoppix.iso onto disc so that i could run linux from the disc-drive without installing it on the computer. I a erase Windows from the computer, will linux still run from the disc drive? Thanks.

What's on your HD doesn't matter with a live CD, you could even remove the HD and Linux would still run just as fine from a live CD.
