how to read a bip motion file of 3dsmax?

hi i am a newbie to 3dmax. and i intend to use bip motion file as resources in directx,but i donot know how to handle that,so help me,thanks for any available information. regards, jolley

There isn't any functionality built into Direct3D or D3DX to help you with this. D3DX offers support for .X meshes/animations but if you want to use that then you'll have to find a way of converting your existing 3dsmax BIP data.

Chances are you'll have to write your own file parser or pick up an open-source/freeware one from the internet. Given that this has little to do with the DX API I'm going to move this over to GP&T - they might be able to suggest where to look for this sort of thing.
