Render Target Caps

Hey My code runs fine on this computer, however I get an invalid call exception from DirectX when I run it on other computers. (normal textures are created fine) I do check the device caps for whether render targets are supported, but I am obviously missing something for the texture creation to fail. I check that the render target format is supported. I also fix the texture dimensions to max width/height, square or pow2 constraints. What else should I check? Thanks!
