Hello All! I'd like to know how to make my C++ text based program send commands to the prompt. Example: I have alot of files with the name twentytwentyN.txt , N = 001 , 002, 003 etc.. And I would like to rename. Only problem is I dont know how to send commands in a program to the prompt. Cheers

If you want to just "send commands to the prompt" use the system(...) call. I'd say if you want to do it right than look up the approproate file I/O functions, but if you wanted to do it right you'd be using a language better suited to the problem.
