MSDN has the same public info about DirectX as the DX SDK documentation, but the SDK may be of more fresh revision since the copy in the main library isn't updated quite as often (or so I have noticed).

For more detailed specifications, you must be a member of the beta program, or - like us MVPs and/or MS partners - have some extra priviledges.

If you have a concern about inner workings of some specific functions, just ask us here and we'll communicate towards MS for you; in case of non-NDAed info we can answer you directly.

Do check first if your question is answered in either the SDK or GDNet DirectX forum FAQ - both of them are excellent resources and most developers simply do not need more info about DX than already is available.

Glad to be of help :)

There is also quite a large bunch of actual 'Softies here, but I don't know if they want their identities revealed so I won't mention any names.
