Skinned Mesh Question

How can you load multiple skinned mesh models using the same mesh with different animation controller. I tried to copy the animation for each mesh while having load the mesh once. It seems to work when i have the same animation apply to both meshes, but when i switch the animation and try to apply two different animation, one on each model, the animation get all srewed up.

That is what i am currently doing. I update the mesh animation the render. Even though i do that it still updates both mesh. Because they share the same Vertices in local space, and the animation controller modifies the vertices in local space. which in case modifies both mesh no matter how you look at it.

PS: Just in case people want to know. I am doing the animation using Vertex Shaders.
