openal 3d sound problem

im working on a 3d sound manager, i got wav files loaded into openal and playing in 3d space perfectly. now i'm working on an object that will play ogg vorbis streams instead of wav's. the problem is that my ogg stream plays at a constant volume level, despite what i set its sources position to. has anyone run into a problem like this with openal? i've checked my code up and down, and read through the openal documentation and cannot figure out whats going on. could there be some weird quirk with alSourceQueueBuffers and 3d sound?

ahh yes this was my problem. thanks a lot. its kind of obvious that 3d sound wouldnt be too happy with 2 channels i dont know why i didnt pick up on that
