Generating Indices

Hi, i have problems with generating the indices and rendering the mesh using DrawIndexedPrimitive(). i loaded a mesh (.x format) using the function D3DXLoadMeshFromX(). Then i constructed a bsp tree by using the polygons (triangles) of the mesh. Now i want to generate the indices that corresponds to the polygons of the tree. how can i render the polygons of the tree using the indices that i previously generated. please help me.
