Using Directx9 in 2d programming ?

Are there any resource which explain 2d game programming with directx9 ? It will be enough if you give any links .Thanks for help.

try search for info on the ID3DSprite interface, it's basically an accelerated version od directdraw.

A great book would be "Beginning Game Programming" by Jonathan S. Harbour

The latest DirectX SDK has a "Simple2D" sample you can look at.

Direct3D does not have a "2D" mode (neither does OpenGL, for that matter). What is traditionally done is an approximation to such a mode by embedding everything into a plane, implicitly, and/or using an orthographic projection.

The SDK sample should give you some ideas. Google can also help.
