SDL: Animation Collision Detection

I can do collision detection with still-motion sprites. But, when I get to adding them to animations, it either acts like there was a collision when the program starts up, or (with another code) doesn't detect it at all. I would also like to know how to make both collision boxes (or whichever I use) inside seperate classes. Instead of one in a class, and the other in "main". Any links to a tutorial, or help would be appreciated.
