[.net] bool ProcessKeyMessage(Message % m) not catching keydown ?

Hi, I have a control which I use to display a Direct3D scene. In this control, I overrided the ProcessKeyMessage method to be able to move my camera by pressing the up, down, left and right arrows. But the problem is : I'm not catching the keydown event ... ProcessKeyMessage is only called when I release an arrow (send a keyup msg only) Do you know if this is a "normal" behavior ? And if so, how could I catch the keydown event ? I tried the OnKeyDow method, but for a reason I ignore, it doesn't work for arrows ... Thx for any help.
