I am curious from those who are developing the new tutorials. Would the wait be worth it for the new ones to come out. I have yet to start these tutorials and I am getting an OpenGL book tonight. But I was going to do these tutorials as recommended but would rather wait if better programming practices and more platform independant code is going to be release.
